Sun Valley Animal Shelter

Since 1995 Sun Valley Animal Shelter has provided loving, compassionate care to unwanted dogs and cats of the northwest valley.  We strive to give comfortable, temporary housing, medical care and vaccinations, good food and companionship to the scores of homeless companion animals that need our help finding loving, permanent families.

Princeton and Billie

Princeton, a lovable boy, arrived at our shelter on February 8th, 2023, after being discovered wandering on a property. He is in need of a patient and dedicated individual who is willing to put in the time to train him effectively. Despite his stubborn streak, Princeton’s heart is pure and filled with potential. To truly connect with him, you must show determination and earn his trust. Embrace his lively spirit, as he thrives on activity and delights in running and playing. Don’t forget his passion for splashing in water, watching him frolic joyfully will warm your heart.

Billie was left on our doorstep one morning by the people he trusted. When staff found Billie they noticed he was struggling to walk. SVAS staff made sure to make Billie as comfortable as possible and soon figured out that he has severe arthritis in all of his joints.

With time Billie began to trust the staff and that’s when his quirky personality came to light. He loves to sit on laps and hold people hostage until he’s ready to be done with the attention. He is currently up for adoption and is looking for his forever home. He may be a senior boy but he still has so much love to give.
